A Simple Update

I have some sort of exciting, kind of exhilarating, more so exhausting, not too bad, but overall some anticipated news! Boy, was that a mouthful to say!

As most of my dedicated readers know, I quit my job back in January to be a full time homemaker/housewife. After I quit I decided I wanted to write about our life’s journey’s and well, one thing led to another. It went from spending a couple of hours a week writing, to spending anywhere from 6-8 hours A DAY blogging. That doesn’t necessarily mean hours of just writing everyday, but instead I use my 6-8 hours of blogging to promote my blog, learn from other bloggers, constantly look for ways to improve, and I’ll read and discover new things to help expand my knowledge.

I’ve invested a lot of time into blogging and to my website. As silly as it is to say, “The Blissful Mrs.” is very precious to me. I have discovered a passion for writing I never even knew I had before I looked into blogs. Of course I wrote a lot of papers in college, but there’s a major difference between writing because you have to and because you want to.

One day I would love to be able to have a “Travel Blog” but in order to do that you have to travel a lot, right? Naturally, but finding the time and extra money to be able to do that is neither here nor there.

Okay, so, ready for the news?!

I have decided to take a part time job to help with our traveling funds!

What will I be doing?

I’m going back to a bowling alley. I’m not really surprised anymore as most of my working career has consisted of being in a bowling alley. I’ll basically be working part time as an administrative assistant, doing office work, with a little bit of marketing and event coordinating on the side. Hooray for using my degree!

What does that mean for my blog?

“The Blissful Mrs.” is still fairly young, and I’m working on growing my brand which means it has been taking a lot of my attention. But, I’m learning that growing and expanding takes time, dedication, and energy. Back in the beginning I had wanted to write five times a week. One post Monday-Friday. As you can see from my past blog posting history, that hasn’t worked out too well. Life is getting in the way, and while I don’t particularly like to claim that as an excuse, that’s just the way it has to be right now.

Never fear though! You can still expect to see a couple of posts a week from The Blissful Mrs. You see, my goal is to always, always, always strive to produce rich and useful content for you and in order to do so, it sometimes means only posting three times a week instead of 5 or 6. That’s because writing takes time and sometimes it’s not possible, for whatever reason, to put everything I have into concentrating on my blog stuff. I don’t want to just post stuff for the sake of posting something, because I feel like my blog would then become too cluttered with useless information, so that is why I work really hard and I’m seriously dedicated into producing content that you will hopefully enjoy and get some sort of use out of.

Hopefully with having a part time job my husband and I will be able to travel more, which in turn I will be able to fill my blog with frugal travel tips and you’ll get to see some of the cultures I’ve been dying to lay my eyes on.

Keep in mind that because I now have a part time job, it does not mean that I will be stopping my homemaking “duties” so still expect some meal planning and cleaning tips! My goal is to keep up with my blog and still give it all the nurturing it needs while still keeping up with being a full-time wife, homemaker, keeping up with my exercise (that reminds me, I’m about to add a new category to my blog here soon, so keep checking back!), and giving my all to this new job. Phew. I’m already exhausted!

Thank you to each and everyone of you who reads my posts and is engaging with my blog. It means more to me than you know. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much! Oh, me too! I’m hesitant on going back to work, but if it’ll mean us being able to travel the world, then I’m all for it.
